4EU+ Education Days

On 20–21 June, the 4EU+ Education Days were organised as part of the NAWA-funded “4EU+ for Ukraine” project. The event took place on-site at the University of Warsaw and online.

On 30th May Welcome Point organised the workshop “Exams are coming!”. During the event, the UW students had a chance to learn how to prepare effectively for their exams.

Cultural workshops for newcomers

The Welcome Point prepared two workshops for the UW international employees who have recently arrived in Poland. One workshop provides practical information on the structure and culture of the University of Warsaw, and another workshop deals with the cultural orientation and basics of the Polish culture. The registration deadline is 23rd March.

Introduction to the USOSweb – online training for international UW employees

Employees using the system are invited to an introductory training course on the basics of USOSweb. The training will be conducted on 24th January.

The workshop “Metaverse as a promise of a bright future?”

Between 12th and 13th March 2022, the Laboratory of Media Studies UW is organising the online workshop “Metaverse as a promise of a bright future? – social interactions in a world of isolation” during the IEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces. Submissions will be due on 12th January.

4EU+ workshops on Open Science

What is Open Science? What happens with a scientific publication between the time of writing and the formatted paper published in an academic journal? What are the Creative Commons licenses? These aspects of Open Science will be explored during a series of online workshops organised by the universities of the 4EU+ Alliance, including the University of Warsaw. Registration is open now.

Cultural Orientation Workshops at UW 2021

Welcome Point will organise “Cultural Orientation Workshops”. Its main goal is to provide all newcomers at the University of Warsaw with tools that will ease their life in a new place at the very beginning. The event will be held on 15th October.

Workshops on public speaking

On 13th-14th July, Welcome Point organizes new workshops “The art of public speaking”. UW students who are interested in the topic can register by 4th July.

Mindfulness workshops

Long-term international students are invited to the online workshops “Mindfulness in academic and everyday life”, organised on 21st-22nd January by the UW Welcome Point. The registration closes on 14th January.

API workshop for the employees of the 4EU+ universities

On 25th-27th June, 22 representatives of the 4EU+ Alliance participated in the workshop on the development of innovative didactic materials, tools and techniques. The workshop has been organised within the project entitled ‘’Academic Partnership for Innovation in Teaching and Learning’’.

Mathematics meet pharmacy 2019

On 23rd-24th September in Hradec Králové, the 4EU+ universities organise a workshop entitled "Mathematics meet pharmacy 2019". Registration deadline: 30th June.

UW organizes workshop on cultural orientation for foreign students. It will take place on 28th-29th September and 6th-7th October.

The University of Warsaw has prepared two-day workshops on cultural orientation for foreign students. The events will take place on 24th-25th and on 29th-30th September.

You are very welcome at UW

On 9th and 10th of October will be held a workshop on cultural orientation for students from abroad who will start studies in English at the UW.
