New English-language study programmes at UW
The University of Warsaw offers over 100 study programmes in humanities, social, exact and natural sciences, as well as interdisciplinary ones. There are also degree programmes entirely conducted in English. This year, prospective students may choose from two new study programmes in English: Machine Learning, and Religions of Asia and Africa: Buddhism, Islam and Others.
First weeks of Welcome Point in Ochota
Welcome Point is an information point where everyone can get help and information during their stay at the University of Warsaw. There are two locations of this unit. First WP office is available on the main campus, and the second one operates on the campus in Ochota.
Multicultural meetings at UW: A journey across the Polish culture
The Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw organises five online multicultural meetings on the Polish culture, covering interesting facts regarding music, movies, celebrations and customs. To participate, one is requested to register by 19th October.
Cultural Orientation at UW 2020 – practical workshops for international students
Welcome Point will organise "Cultural Orientation at UW - Practical Workshops". The main goal of the event is to provide all newcomers at the University of Warsaw with tools that will ease their life in a new place at the very beginning. The workshops are held on 28th-29th September and 1st-2nd October. The registration is required.
Admissions to Doctoral Schools for the 2020/2021 academic year
Four doctoral schools at the University of Warsaw are now open to applications. University graduates who would like to pursue their scientific career can apply to their preferable doctoral school, register in the Internet Recruitment of Candidates (IRK) and submit required documents until 28th June.
Online meeting with the UW Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Teaching
On 14th May at noon, Prof. Jolanta Choińska-Mika, the UW Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Teaching, will be answering frequently asked questions on the current study-related matters, e.g. upcoming examination period, exams and credits, as well as changes to the academic calendar.
Psychological support for UW students
In light of current events related to the novel coronavirus, many people might be concerned. Dr. Szymon Chrząstowski, head of the UW Psychological Counselling Centre advises how to deal with your emotions. From next week, students can get online psychological counselling.

Open Day at UW in 2019
Several thousand prospective students visited the University of Warsaw during its Open Day. They could get to know the UW offer of 1st and 2nd cycle study programmes, meet students and staff, take part in university campus tours and find out what life as a student of UW is like.
