Career development and mobility are key factors in the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers. The University of Warsaw is implementing a number of actions to support and reinforce internationalisation. Among the introduced initiatives there is the Welcome Point.
Onboarding training for international academics
“Onboarding at the UW” is a traditionally organised set of trainings to make a smooth start for international employees of the University of Warsaw. Workshops on the Polish culture, customs and interaction within the Polish academic environment are available in November.
Intensive Polish language course for international students
The registration for the intensive Polish language course for foreign students at the UW is open until 31st August. The course attendees will acquire basic vocabulary and phrases to communicate efficiently not only at the university but also in a daily life.
Internationalisation and mobility support actions
The University of Warsaw introduces a number of support initiatives within internationalisation and mobility to help visiting employees, doctoral candidates and students. Here we are presenting the actions under the “HR Excellence in Research at the UW in June” campaign.
Recruitment for the “Solidarity with Ukraine” programme
Recruitment procedures for the "Solidarity with Ukraine" programme start on 6th June. The course lasts from 1st July to 30th September. The National Agency for Academic Exchange granted 350,000 zł to the University of Warsaw for this project.
Online meeting on the legalisation of stay in Poland
On 24th and 25th November, Welcome Point organises two informational meetings on the legalisation of stay in Poland. During the webinar, participants will learn the most important legal aspects regarding their residence in Poland during their studies and after graduation. The application deadline is 22nd November.
Workshops for international employees
Welcome Point prepared two workshops for UW international employees. One is related to cultural orientation and the Polish culture (on 22nd November), and the second concerns practical information on the structure and culture of the University of Warsaw. The registration deadline is 14th November.
