ECHE awarded to UW
The University of Warsaw is the most active Polish university regarding the mobility of students and employees. The European Commission awarded UW with the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). The document allows higher education institutions to apply and participate in the Erasmus+ programme for education, training, youth and sport 2021-2027.
Gender Equality Plan for UW
The University of Warsaw adopted its Gender Equality Plan. The document responds to the needs of the university community. GEP was created as a result of expert consultations reflecting good practice from European institutions. UW was the first university in Poland to adopt the GEP.
Information on Employee Capital Plans
We publish the information on Employee Capital Plans (ECP; in Polish: Pracownicze Plany Kapitałowe, PPK), a voluntary long-term saving programme, developed and co-financed by employees (employees and contractors subject to obligatory social insurance), employers and the state.
UW and its operation as of 20th March
The Rector of the University of Warsaw has issued an ordinance on the operation of UW in the state of the epidemic, announced as of 20th March 2021. The document published on 19th March 2021, changes§ 17a included in Rector’s ordinance No. 217, issued on 29th September 2020.
The Volunteer Centre of UW invites the entire community of the University of Warsaw to its Easter project. Those who want to get involved can send their online wishes, virtual and traditional cards to seniors staying in the Nursing Home of the Society of St. Francis de Sales in Warsaw.
Rector’s announcement as of 1st March: Next registration phase for COVID-19 vaccinations
Due to the next registration phase regarding COVID-19 vaccinations, we pass on the information regarding registration rules and the enrolment process. It is possible to apply by 3rd March, 10:00. We will keep you updated on all changes.
4EU+ joint educational projects: Second call for proposals
4EU+ academics can now submit their project proposals and receive funding to carry out educational activities that will involve students and doctoral candidates from the Alliance. All projects need to bring together at least three 4EU+ member universities and fall under one of the four 4EU+ flagship programmes.
2020 at a glance
It has been a calendar year that will long be remembered by everyone. 2020 at the University of Warsaw saw, e.g. different rules for university operations during a COVID-19 pandemic, change of the UW authorities, ground-breaking research projects, national and international successes of UW employees and students. We present selected facts of the last year.
Mission: Christmas Card
Just as every year, the Volunteer Centre of UW organises a special mission before Christmas. The UW community members can get involved and send online Christmas wishes which will be forwarded to ca. 90 seniors, staying in the Nursing Home of the Society of St. Francis de Sales in Warsaw.
