The University’s legal framework is determined by Poland’s Law on Higher Education and Science, which governs the operation of all Polish public and non-public universities. UW’s structure, division of authority, teaching matters and many other aspects are regulated internally by documents including The University of Warsaw Bylaws.
On 1st October 2018, the new Law on Higher Education and Science entered into force.
- Resolution No. 134 of the Senate of the University Of Warsaw dated 20 April 2022 on the conditions, procedure and deadlines for the admission procedures applicable for the first-cycle studies, long-cycle studies, and the second-cycle studies at the University of Warsaw in the academic year 2022/2023 (in Polish, English and Ukrainian);
- Ordinance No. 44 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw dated 4 April 2022 on the Research Visits Programme at the University of Warsaw for students and doctoral students from Ukraine (in Polish, English and Ukrainian);
- Ordinance No. 28 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw dated 28 February 2022 on the establishment of the Crisis Staff for Ukraine at the University of Warsaw (in Polish and English);
- Resolution No. 444 of the Senate of the University Of Warsaw dated 26 June 2019 on the enactment of the Rules and Regulations of the doctoral schools at the University of Warsaw (in Polish and English).
