First ERC Proof of Concept Grant in Polish humanities

Prof. Katarzyna Marciniak from the Faculty of „Artes Liberales” UW received the first ERC Proof of Concept Grant in Polish humanities for the project “The Modern Argonauts: A Multicultural Educational Programme Preparing Young People for Contemporary Challenges through an Innovative Use of Classical Mythology”. Prof. Marciniak tells about her research in a video on the UW's YouTube channel.

LERU-CE7 seminar on research(er) assessment in Prague

Prof. Zygmunt Lalak, the UW Vice-Rector for Research, was discussing the research assessment methodology, as well as the way forward for the LERU and CE7 during the seminar at Charles University in mid-March. The University of Warsaw is a partner in the LERU-CE7 collaboration to improve research and education conditions across Europe.

University of Geneva in the 4EU+ Alliance

Starting 1st August, the 4EU+ Alliance will be joined by the University of Geneva (UNIGE). The integration has been duly approved by the Governing Board of the European University Alliance.

The 2022/2023 admissions to the UW

Admissions to first-cycle and full-cycle studies at the UW in the 2022/203 academic year were open from 6th June to 5th July. The UW also prepared an educational offer for applicants from Ukraine. The admissions results will be announced on 19th July.

Fair, transparent and merit-based recruitment and career

As set in the European Charter of Researchers, universities are bound to progress their researchers’ development, whereas researchers are obliged to develop their skills and qualifications. The actions should aim at minimising the employment uncertainty while increasing the employability.

The evaluation of the implemented Human Resources Strategy for Researchers at the UW

The Education Quality Evaluation Unit has reported the results of the survey among academic teachers. The aim of the survey was to evaluate the implementation process of the requirements stated in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

Students about studying at the UW

Between 23rd May and 13th June students of the University of Warsaw can complete a University-wide survey for their opinions about the studies, administration services, their attachment and commitment with the UW etc. The survey will be carried out by the Education Quality Evaluation Unit, Office for Education Innovations, UW.
