From 28th to 30th October, the Annual Meeting of the 4EU+ Alliance is taking place at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. The event gathers representatives of the Alliance’s eight member universities, including the University of Warsaw. On 30th October, the General Assembly session will be streamed online. The session will include the official handover of the Alliance Presidency to Paris-Panthéon-Assas University.

The 4EU+ Alliance brings together eight research universities working jointly to create one comprehensive, research-intensive European university. In addition to the University of Warsaw, the consortium includes Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic), Heidelberg University (Germany), Paris-Panthéon-Assas University (France), Sorbonne University (France), the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), the University of Milan (Italy), and the University of Geneva (Switzerland).

Inter-university cooperation focuses on developing a common educational framework and innovative teaching programmes, conducting scientific research through multidisciplinary academic teams, and pursuing initiatives related to innovation, technology transfer, and the social responsibility of universities. The partner universities are also working to integrate their digital systems and solutions in order to create a single, shared international campus.

Europe as a Driving Force

“4EU+: Europe as a Driving Force for a Brighter Future” is the theme of this year’s 4EU+ Annual Meeting, with participants from all eight partner universities taking part in the event. This year, the meeting is hosted by Paris-Panthéon-Assas University.

The University of Warsaw is represented by a delegation of nearly 30 people, led by the University’s Vice-Rectors: Prof. Sambor Grucza, Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Human Resources; Prof. Maciej Raś, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Teaching and Learning; and Prof. Zygmunt Lalak, Vice-Rector for Research.

The Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for face-to-face interaction and for strengthening cooperation among the partner universities. The programme includes meetings of the Management Committee, the Academic Council, the Student Committee, and working groups focusing on communication, mobility, education, and research. Academics involved in the four 4EU+ flagship programmes, as well as representatives of other 4EU+ structures, are also participating in the meeting.

On 30th October at 9:00 am, the 4EU+ General Assembly will begin. The session will be streamed online.

One of the key moments of the meeting will be the official handover of the Alliance Presidency from the University of Geneva to Paris-Panthéon-Assas University for the 2026–2027 academic year.
