Erasmus+ scholarship holders in photos

Spain, Ireland, Colombia, Morocco, Portugal, Slovenia, United Kingdom, Italy. Thanks to the Erasmus+ programme, students from the University of Warsaw take classes or internships in various parts of the world. Thirteen such places have been captured in the first edition of the FotoErasmus+ calendar.

Polish-Palestinian cooperation

The University of Warsaw hosted a meeting of its authorities with the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the Palestinian National Authority. The main theme of the discussion was the development of academic exchange and fostering bilateral relations in such fields as scientific research and vocational education.

4EU+ conference at the UW

The conference that summarises the participation of the University of Warsaw and other Polish universities in European alliances under the EU Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020 programmes is held on 10th October. Registration for the event is open until 20th September.

ECHE awarded to UW

The University of Warsaw is the most active Polish university regarding the mobility of students and employees. The European Commission awarded UW with the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). The document allows higher education institutions to apply and participate in the Erasmus+ programme for education, training, youth and sport 2021-2027.

E-TRAINEE project with the Erasmus+ funding

A team of experts from UW, Charles University, Heidelberg University and the University of Innsbruck have received funding in the Erasmus+ “Strategic Partnerships” call.

Information meeting for international students

On 17th February, a new semester will begin. About 370 of international students will start their education at the University of Warsaw. They came here for short-term Erasmus+ and other international exchange programmes. The UW International Relations Office organised a special meeting for them on 12th February.

Information meeting for exchange students in Auditorium Maximum

On 26th September, approximately 750 short-term students from abroad met in the Auditorium Maximum building to get the most important information on their stay at the University of Warsaw.

Erasmus+ mobility grants

Students and doctoral students who would like to spend abroad a second semester of the academic year 2019/2020 can apply for a grant within the Erasmus+ programme. Application deadline: 15th October.

International Staff Training Week

The University of Warsaw hosts the International Staff Training Week. 29 people from 20 countries came to Warsaw to take part in the event entitled “Cross-cultural communication. Resolving conflicts in an intercultural community”.

15 years in the European Union

54 alliances responded to the “European Universities” call

More than 300 higher education institutions from 31 European countries including all EU member states were involved in the first pilot call under the European Commission’s “European Universities Initiative”. The 4EU+ Alliance, to which the University of Warsaw belongs, is among the 54 alliances that submitted their applications in the Erasmus+ “European Universities” call.

International Staff Training Week at UW

UW hosted the 9th International Staff Training Week. 23 people from 21 countries took part in it. “Cross-cultural communication. Resolving conflicts in an intercultural community” was its main theme.

30 years of Erasmus+

On 13th June the EU will be celebrating 30th anniversary of Erasmus – the most successful programme for education, training, youth and sport. Currently, 33 states participate in academic exchange.

Excellent assessment of the EC

The University of Warsaw has been identified for its good performance in the implementation of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education in the first year of Erasmus+.
