Good performances of UW students

Recently, two student teams from UW participated in two events dedicated to students. One of them was the KRAKMUN conference, and another one – the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest.

Multicultural discussions at UW

Rupali Parekh came from Finland to Warsaw five years ago. She has chosen the Faculty of Psychology of UW where people from all around the world are educated.

RIS Fellowships project

30 students and graduates from RIS countries can get 3-month internships in agri-food sector. The internships will be offered by EIT Food consortium companies or RisingFoodStars companies.

European University Alliance

UW together with three other European universities, signed a declaration regarding the formation of the 4EU European University Alliance which will bring together academics, researchers and students.

Psychological Counselling Centre of UW

The University of Warsaw opened its Psychological Counselling Centre. UW students and employees can get there psychological support. The centre also provides psychoeducation and diagnosis.

Mobility in research and education – a new searcher

Students and employees who would like to take part in mobility projects operated by 3 offices of UW, can easily find them now. The University of Warsaw has launched a new website.

The Library open in the night

From Monday 22nd January to Saturday 3rd February 2018 the University of Warsaw Library will be open until 5 am due to the “BUW for owls” action.

Best Polish programmers

The team from the University of Warsaw, composed of Kamil Dębowski, Mateusz Radecki and Marek Sommer, has won the 22nd Polish Collegiate Programming Contest which was held on 28th October in Wrocław.

A new academic year has begun

On 2nd October, Prof. Marcin Pałys, rector of the UW inaugurated a new academic year. Rector summed up recent achievements and presented plans for the future.

NOHA inauguration

A new academic year of the Joint European Master’s in International Humanitarian Action has begun. Its inauguration was held in the Old Library building of the UW.

Polish language in the summer

For four weeks participants of the summer course, organised by ‘Polonicum’, have been learning Polish language and getting to know Polish culture. At the end of the course they danced Polonaise.

Welcome Point at UW

A new website of the Welcome Point, the central information service point for international students who start their education at the UW, has been launched.

Admissions 2017/2018

Studying at night

The University of Warsaw Library prolongs its opening hours. From 5th to 30th June it will be open till 5 a.m.

New programmes of study 2017/2018

Six new programmes of study will be available to the candidates in the academic year 2017/2018. Three of them will be taught in English.

A brand new rover on the Red Planet

The UW Rover Team will take part in the University Rover Challenge that will be held from 1st to 3rd June in the desert of southern Utah in the USA. The team will present a new rover – Anteros.

Meetings for the non-EU citizens

The University of Warsaw will organize two information meetings on legal issues concerning residence in Poland. They will be held on 24th May and on 26th May at the main campus of the UW.

Multicultural volunteering

Students of the University of Warsaw are engaged in integrating activities for international students who begin their education at the UW.
