Renewal of the HR Excellence in Research
On 22nd November, the University of Warsaw was acknowledged the renewed HR Excellence in Research. The award is given to institutions which follow strict and high standards of research working conditions, antidiscrimination and transparent recruitment as set in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The new academic year with the HR Excellence in Research
This year the University of Warsaw will be receiving a visit from the European Commission’s experts to evaluate the UW’s actions under the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers. This information campaign is intended to present the HR Excellence in Research initiatives within equality, mobility, training and international funds.
European Commission’s experts visiting the UW
The University of Warsaw is in the renewal phase of the HR Excellence in Research. The European Commission’s team of experts is visiting the UW on 24th October. The assessors will be evaluating the undertaken actions, their influence on the university, as well as their cohesion with the strategy of the University of Warsaw.
Benefits of the HR Excellence in Research
The HR Excellence in Research is a voluntary tool. The gained award identifies the institution as committed to support researchers’ skills and careers, and provide them with a good working environment. In February, the University of Warsaw entered the process of the renewal of the award from the European Commission.
EU Horizon’s funding for SUNER-C project to accelerate innovation on solar fuels and chemicals
Under the SUNERGY pan-European initiative, the SUNER-C project has been granted funding of four million EUR to accelerate innovation on solar fuels and chemicals, and to support transition towards a fossil-free EU economy.
A symbol of trust
The University of Warsaw has entered the renewal procedure of the HR Excellence in Research award. Prof. Sambor Grucza, Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Human Resources, is discussing the consequent changes that the distinction triggers and their influence on the university.
Kick-off event of the European Universities Initiative
On 7th-8th November representatives of 4EU+ Alliance and other consortia, which were selected for funding in the first pilot ‘European Universities’ call for proposals, will meet in Brussels to launch this initiative. In June the European Commission selected 17 European University alliances, which will obtain funding for their projects to become the ‘European Universities’ of the future.
UW at #EUInvestInKnowledge campaign
Fifteen European associations of universities have joined efforts to call for an ambitious Horizon Europe budget that would invest in excellent, cross-border research, education and innovation. More than 300 universities, research centres and other organisations signed this call for an ambitious European budget for research, education and innovation. One of them is the University of Warsaw.
