Intensive Polish language course for international students
The registration for the intensive Polish language course for foreign students at the UW is open until 31st August. The course attendees will acquire basic vocabulary and phrases to communicate efficiently not only at the university but also in a daily life.
Internationalisation and mobility support actions
The University of Warsaw introduces a number of support initiatives within internationalisation and mobility to help visiting employees, doctoral candidates and students. Here we are presenting the actions under the “HR Excellence in Research at the UW in June” campaign.
Recruitment for the “Solidarity with Ukraine” programme
Recruitment procedures for the "Solidarity with Ukraine" programme start on 6th June. The course lasts from 1st July to 30th September. The National Agency for Academic Exchange granted 350,000 zł to the University of Warsaw for this project.
The Foundation Year for student candidates
Starting the 6th June the 2022/2023 Foundation Year has been launched for international student candidates. The course programme includes not only English language learning classes but also various activities related with the Polish culture and academic life.
The UW awarded the NAWA funding for Ukrainian students and doctoral candidates
The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) granted the funding of 350,000 zł to the University of Warsaw. The awarded funding is allocated for scholarships for students and doctoral candidates who had to flee Ukraine and decided to stay in Poland.
Cultural workshops for newcomers
The Welcome Point prepared two workshops for the UW international employees who have recently arrived in Poland. One workshop provides practical information on the structure and culture of the University of Warsaw, and another workshop deals with the cultural orientation and basics of the Polish culture. The registration deadline is 23rd March.
Polish Personal Income Taxes for International Employees – online course
Each year until 30th April, all employees who have worked in Poland in the previous year, have to submit their annual personal income tax declarations (PIT) to the fiscal authorities. Welcome Point offers the course for the UW international employees on how to settle their personal income tax in Poland.
