Gold medal for UW students
Warsaw Eagles, the University of Warsaw team from the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, won the gold medal at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) 2019 world finals in Porto. UW students became champions in the region of Europe.
Six universities in 4EU+
„Six partners, three challenges, one vision” that is a motto of 4EU+. The University of Warsaw, Charles University, Heidelberg University, Sorbonne University, that belong to the 4EU Alliance, join forces with the University of Copenhagen and University of Milan. Six partners created the 4EU+ consortium and submitted an application in the Erasmus+ “European Universities” call.
UW biologist with EMBO Installation Grant
Dr Anna Karnkowska from the UW Faculty of Biology and Biological and Chemical Centre received a grant from the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO). The Installation Grant is awarded to early-career researchers establishing their independent laboratories. Dr. Karnkowska’s research interests include diversity and molecular evolution of chosen groups of protists.
CPP – professional and friendly psychological assistance at UW
The beginning of a new academic year can be challenging for some students and employees.
