“The discussions regarding democracy, peaceful development and tolerance are always important,” Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the UW Rector, said during a meeting on countering disinformation, organised on 13th October at the Centre for French Culture and Francophone Studies, the University of Warsaw. The event was an initiative of the Weimar Triangle.

Rankings motivate universities to reach higher positions and achieve better results. As a research university we plan to collaborate with institutions from Europe and the rest of the world. The university should be a place of developing new competences, sharing experiences and opinions,” Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the UW Rector, said during the THE Europe Universities Summit, co-organised by the UW.

The University of Warsaw was a co-organiser of the international conference “Beyond resilience: How European higher education is preparing for the future”, which was held between 3 and 5 July in Warsaw. Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the UW Rector, was discussing collaborative work of European institutions to position Europe as a leading and competitive zone within the global higher education context.

The conference that summarises the participation of the University of Warsaw and other Polish universities in European alliances under the EU Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020 programmes is held on 10th October. Registration for the event is open until 20th September.
