Tomasz Siemoniak, the member of the Council of Ministers and the coordinator of special services, spoke at the University of Warsaw about security, the importance of awareness and Poland’s role in Europe. The lecture, at the invitation of the UW Rector, was held on 26th February in the Senate Hall of the Kazimierzowski Palace.

On 26th February, the University of Warsaw hosted a meeting with Tomasz Siemoniak, the member of the Council of Ministers, the coordinator of special services. 

On 20th February, the University of Warsaw hosted a meeting with Mark F. Brzezinski, US Ambassador to Poland. 

On 21st August, the President of Portugal, Prof. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, visited the UW to deliver a lecture “The international situation, before, during and after”. “We are eager to develop the cooperation and exchange of students and researchers with Portuguese universities. I am convinced this historic visit will further strengthen such initiatives,” Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the UW Rector, said.

On 21st August, a lecture by the President of Portugal, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, will be held in the Column Hall of the UW Faculty of History. Registration is required.

What is the real value of oxygen? What does a career in science look like? The answers to these questions were revealed by Sir Peter Ratcliffe during his lecture at the University of Warsaw. It was the first visit to Poland of the 2019 Nobel laureate in Physiology or Medicine.
