Dynamic technological changes in the context of contemporary global challenges were the focus of an international event held at the University of Warsaw in March. The conference “Human Tech Transition: Crises in Mediatized Politics, Society & Economy” was attended by more than 130 scientists from almost thirty countries.

Poles are anxious about their future cause of the war in Ukraine. Yet, they unequivocally agree that refuges have been well received in Polish local communities, small homelands. The Laboratory of Media Studies has released results of the survey “The War in Ukraine in the Opinion of Poles”.

Between 12th and 13th March 2022, the Laboratory of Media Studies UW is organising the online workshop “Metaverse as a promise of a bright future? – social interactions in a world of isolation” during the IEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces. Submissions will be due on 12th January.
