Prof. Paweł Kaczmarczyk from the Faculty of Economic Sciences, the University of Warsaw, the director of the UW's Centre of Migration Research is one of the laureates of the Internationalisation Stars 2024. Heybat Naghiyev, a student of the English-language master's programme in International Economics was selected the best international student in Poland.

The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange published the results of the next edition of the “Welcome to Poland” programme. Among the winning projects, two were submitted by the University of Warsaw. 

“In LABFER, we will investigate how the ongoing changes in the labour market, driven by globalisation and technological change, affect the family formation, in particular how they affect fertility,” says Prof. Anna Matysiak from UW, a recipient of an ERC Consolidator Grant 2019. Prof. Anna Matysiak from the UW Faculty of Economic Sciences was awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant 2019. Her project LABFER is the first project which will comprehensively study fertility decisions in the changing world of work.
