The University of Warsaw was a co-organiser of the international conference “Beyond resilience: How European higher education is preparing for the future”, which was held between 3 and 5 July in Warsaw. Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the UW Rector, was discussing collaborative work of European institutions to position Europe as a leading and competitive zone within the global higher education context.

The University of Warsaw has been ranked 123rd in a ranking featuring 172 the most international universities in the world in 2021. The ranking was compiled using data from the Times Higher World University Rankings.

The University of Warsaw was ranked 6th in the New Europe ranking compiled by the Times Higher Education. The ranking included universities from 13 states that have joined EU since 2004.
