The “Scholarship to Start” has been granted to 171 students and doctoral candidates, who were admitted to the University of Warsaw in the on-going academic year. The award is an initiative of the Rector’s Scholarship Fund.

From the academic year 2022/2023, the University of Warsaw is offering “Scholarships to Start” from the Rector’s Scholarship Fund. It is addressed to the most talented students and doctoral candidates who have been admitted in a given academic year to the University or a doctoral school.

 

On 12th May, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the UW Rector, handed out 171 diplomas to the laureates of the “Scholarship to Start” in three categories: “Scholarship to Start for Olympians”(81), “Scholarship to Start for Athletes” (42) and “Scholarship to Start for Doctoral Candidates” (48).

 

The ceremony was held at the Kazimierzowski Palace on the UW main campus. It was attended by the scholars, the UW authorities, directors of doctoral schools and representatives of the Students’ Council and the PhD Students’ Union.
