“Solidarity with Ukraine” under the NAWA funding

The University of Warsaw has been allocated over PLN760,000 from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange for the cooperation of the 4EU+ Alliance with three partner institutions from Ukraine. The joint project with Ukrainian universities will foster flexible education paths, provide access to the European Education Area and strengthen research and didactic potentials.

Recruitment for the “Solidarity with Ukraine” programme

Recruitment procedures for the "Solidarity with Ukraine" programme start on 6th June. The course lasts from 1st July to 30th September. The National Agency for Academic Exchange granted 350,000 zł to the University of Warsaw for this project.

Online meeting on the legalisation of residence in Poland

The Welcome Point organises two informational meetings on the legalisation of residence in Poland by students from non-EU countries.

Admission System for Candidates from Ukraine

In cooperation with the Inter-University Centre for Informatisation, the University of Warsaw has released the national online admission system available for candidates from Ukraine: Online Admission System for Candidates from Ukraine (OASCU). The tool helps to search for particular type of studies, as well as job and cooperation opportunities at Polish academic institutions.

Study Visits Programme for Ukrainian students and doctoral candidates at the University of Warsaw

The initiative called The Study Visits Programme for Ukrainian Students and Doctoral Candidates at the University of Warsaw aims at facilitating the students and doctoral candidates from Ukrainian universities to conduct research at the University of Warsaw. The programme was launched 27th April.

The UW awarded the NAWA funding for Ukrainian students and doctoral candidates

The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) granted the funding of PLN350,000 to the University of Warsaw. The awarded funding is allocated for scholarships for students and doctoral candidates who had to flee Ukraine and decided to stay in Poland.

Eyeglasses for the Ukrainians

Eyesight examinations by students of optometrics, the UW Faculty of Physics, are available free of charge for the citizens of Ukraine who had to flee the war zone in their country. During the fortnight, over thirty patients received free consultation.

At the University of Warsaw, we are providing a range of opportunities for Ukrainian UW students and doctoral candidates.

The UW emergency initiatives for Ukraine

The University of Warsaw launches the emergency collection to help provide humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refugees. Free legal counselling is also offered. We are publishing the current initiatives by the UW students, doctoral candidates and employees.

The CENTRAL network support for Ukraine

We are publishing the CENTRAL network’s position in the case of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The University of Warsaw is one of the vivid partners of the network.

Solidarity with Ukraine

On 23rd February, the Senate of the UW adopted a resolution on expressing our solidarity with Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens.
