Welcome Point organised two informational meetings on legal issues concerning residence in Poland for students and doctoral candidates. They were held on 22nd and 25th May on the UW Main Campus.

The meetings on the procedure of legalisation of stay in Poland were led by Dr Łukasz Wieczorek, the Dean’s Representative for Legalisation of Stay, the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw. The event was primarily dedicated to students and doctoral candidates from non-EU countries, who wanted to learn more about the topic. 

 

The first meeting in Polish took place on 22nd May, from 10 am to 12 am and the second one in English on 25th May, at the same hours. 

 

The programme of both meetings included:

 

  • Legalisation of residence in Poland (visa, temporary and permanent residence permit);
  • Procedure of application for a residence permit;
  • Polish descent and Card of the Pole holders’ rights;
  • Special solutions for foreigners caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
