International students and doctoral candidates are invited to join the third edition of public speaking workshop organised by the UW’s Welcome Point. The event will be held on 5th March at the Main Campus of the University of Warsaw. Registration is mandatory.

“The Power of Public Speaking” is a workshop dedicated to international (non-Polish) students and doctoral candidates who aim to improve their presentation and public speaking skills. The event is open to beginners as well as those with more speaking experience.

 

The workshop will address issues such as:

 

  • structure of effective presentation
  • speech purpose and plan
  • argumentation strategies to impact the audience
  • techniques of engaging the audience.

The event will take place on 5th March from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm at the Welcome Point office at Krakowskie Przedmieście 32a (Main Campus of the UW). The attendees are obliged to participate in the entire event.

 

Prior registration is required to attend the workshop. The registration form is open until 28th February.

The workshop is co-funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the “Welcome to Poland” programme, and is dedicated to all international (non-Polish) students and doctoral candidates.
