A reproduction of a pre-war photo of the UW’s Main Gate with a dedication from the Rector, a climbing class with an instructor, a walk around the historic UW campus, hosting a programme on Radio Kampus, participation in courses and trainings. These are just some of the items up for auction in the University of Warsaw’s collection for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Bidding will continue until 26th January.

The 33rd Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (GOCC, PL: Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, WOŚP) will take place on 26th January. The University of Warsaw has joined the fundraising for paediatric oncology and haematology.

As part of this year’s “UW plays for WOŚP” campaign, members of the university community have prepared over 5

0 auctions. The auctioned items include:

 

  • a reproduction of a photograph of the Main Gate of the pre-war University of Warsaw with a dedication from the Rector;
  • a climbing class with an instructor from the University’s Physical Education and Sports Center;
  • a tour of the historic UW campus at Krakowskie Przedmieście;
  • a meeting with the Dean’s team of the Faculty of Law and Administration;
  • media training organised by the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies;
  • a photo session in the open air and representative interiors of the University of Warsaw;
  • a leaflet autographed by legendary ski jumper Janne Ahonen;
  • a swimming cap from the University of Warsaw’s swimming team;
  • participation in the University of Warsaw’s Open University courses;
  • hosting the programme called “Alternator” on Radio Kampus.

Bidding will conclude at 12 a.m. on 26th January.
