- Academic support
The Ukrainian passport holders can register for the University of Warsaw Library card free of charge until the end of the summer semester 2021/2022. More information is available on the BUW website >>.
- Medical assistance
Anyone from Ukraine who needs to consult an internal diseases specialist is advised to refer to Prof. Józef Haczyński, Doctor of Medicine from the UW Faculty of Management. - Financial support
Prof. Joanna Getka from the UW Faculty of Applied Linguistics is raising funds for Ukrainian universities. The money is collected for the psychological support of students and academics who suffer from the current military crisis. Additional information is available on www.zrzutka.pl >> (only in Polish).
The Students’ Union of the Faculty of Management in cooperation with the UW Faculty of Management raised funds for medical equipment, which is needed to cure victims of the war in Ukraine. The fundraising was finished on 30th March. More information is available on the Faculty website >> (only in Polish).
The UW Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology was raising funds for their partner University in Ivano-Frankivsk. The Ukrainian university became a refugee camp for the people who had to flee from the eastern part of the country and Kiev. After 22nd March the raised funds were transferred to the bank account of the University in Ivano-Frankivsk. The collected money will be spent on medicines, bandages, wound dressings, toiletries etc. More information about the fundraising is provided on the Institute website >> (only in Polish).
- Volunteering
Anyone intending to participate in the UW initiatives for Ukraine can join volunteers from the Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw. More information, in Polish and English, is provided on the UVC website >>.
