Students of the University of Warsaw are engaged in integrating activities for international students who begin their education at the UW.

Students of the University of Warsaw take part in the multicultural volunteering aimed at foreign students. It is an initiative of the Volunteer Center of the UW. There are two main activities:

  • reciprocal conversations – it is an opportunity to exchange language skills – foreigners can learn and practice Polish and the UW students improve their English or learn different languages such as Chinese and Arabic.
  • Warsaw tours – international students, together with their Polish contemporaries, have a possibility to discover Warsaw, visit interesting places and get to know important facts about the capital of Poland.

The multicultural volunteering is a project of the Volunteer Center of the UW. International students who take part in the volunteering attend Polish-language course provided by the Center of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners “Polonicum”.

“Polonicum” is the oldest centre for teaching Polish as a foreign language in Poland. The Centre extends its offer to those who are interested in learning Polish language and culture – students, officers, but also people not related to the academia.
