The multi-annual development plan aims primarily to stimulate the potential of the humanities and social sciences. Thanks to the programme, new buildings will be constructed, and others will be refurbished. Currently, the construction of one of the largest investments of the programme, the second stage of the building at Dobra 55, is in progress.

Construction of the building at Dobra 55 (its second stage) is the largest investment of the multi-annual development plan in terms of area (28 700 m2) and financial outlays (PLN 165 million).

The building is dedicated to students and employees of the faculties of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics, however other units will also be able to use it.

It will consist of four overground and two underground levels and house academic halls, a library, administrative and social facilities, offices and an underground garage. On the top, the roof garden is planned, open to visitors both members of the UW community, and Varsovians.

Completion of the building shell is planned for February 2021. Construction work will be carried out until November 2021. UW students and employees will be able to use the new spaces in 2022.

The multi-annual development plan aims to foster research in the humanities and social sciences, tighten up collaboration between faculties and simplify cooperation within the social and economic environment, as well as promote international academic exchange. Thanks to the programme, new buildings will be constructed and others will be refurbished. The first two investments were completed – the reconstruction of the basement of the University Library in Warsaw for sports purposes, and the reconstruction of the building at Aleje Ujazdowskie 4 for the newly-established Center for Cooperation and Dialogue.
