Information about the most interesting places of the UW, their history and anecdotes are gathered in the publication “Visit the University of Warsaw. Main sites of the UW”. Updated version is available.
Polish-English publication is dedicated to students, employees, guests, tourists and those who would like to know more about the University.
The UW has more than 120 buildings. It operates not only in Warsaw, but it carries out research all over Poland and the world.
In the publication one can find out more about the UW facilities located in:
- the Main Campus of the UW on Krakowskie Przedmieście, for example, about the Kazimierzowski Palace, the Old Library Building or the Tyszkiewicz-Potocki Palace,
- Powiśle district, among others, the University of Warsaw Library, the Former Teodozja Majewska Baths or New Building of the Applied Linguistics and the Modern Languages Faculties,
- Ochota district – for instance, buildings of the Centre for New Technologies or the Biological and Chemical Research Centre.
The publication is full of illustrations and maps. Its electronic version is freely available as well as paper one – in the Press Office of the University of Warsaw (the Kazimierzowski Palace, Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28).
