The event was an excellent opportunity for potential students to explore the University’s educational offerings and campus facilities. On 20th April, on the UW Main Campus representatives of faculties were on hand to answer questions about and provide insights into University life.

Over sixty information stands provided a chance for individuals interested in pursuing higher education to discover the diverse range of study programmes offered by the University of Warsaw. Faculty members, academic advisors, and current students and doctoral candidates as well as representatives from the Academic Sports Association, Open University, 4EU+ Alliance, UW Incubator, Hybrydy Theatre, “Warszawianka” Dance Theatre, UW Museum, and Kampus Radio were on hand to anyone eager to explore their options for higher education or international learning experience.

The Open Day is a gateway to explore the educational offer, admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and student support services as well as extracurricular activities like volunteer activities, sports and cultural organisations available at the UW.

The event was held on 20th April, 10.00 am – 4 pm, on the UW Main Campus at 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street.

The attendees had the chance to take part in creative workshops, Slavic scientific picnic, and meet representatives of research organisations. They also had an opportunity to interact with current students who could answer questions about the Erasmus+ programme, and provide insights into the University life. The DKMS Foundation, the biggest database of stem cell and bone morrow donors, was present there as well.

International education

The 4EU+ Alliance is a transnational association of eight large, European, well-established, comprehensive, public research universities: the University of Warsaw, Heidelberg University, Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, Sorbonne University in Paris, the University of Copenhagen, the University of Geneva, the University of Milan, and Charles University in Prague. The 4EU+ aims to create one comprehensive research-intensive European University through a new quality of cooperation in teaching, education, research, and administration, which are based on academic freedom and autonomy, ensuring a student-centred, fairly accessible and participative education.

Students of the member universities can search the Student Portal digital platform and choose educational, training, development and mobility opportunities that align with their academic interests and goals. Ranging from online courses to collaborative projects and learning pathways, the portal provides an overview of diverse educational offerings available to 4EU+ students.
