The University of Warsaw is organizing a concert on the occasion of its birthday. On 15th November the band “Marek Napiórkowski Sextet” will play jazz music.

 

Marek Napiórkowski is well known guitarist and composer. He recorded over 140 CDs in cooperation with other artists. He was nominated five times for Fryderyk – annual award in Polish music. The best jazz guitarist of the year 2012,2013 and 2014 – according to the “Jazz Forum” magazine. His band is consisted of six talented musicians.

 

Artists will play songs from the CD called “UP!”

 

The “Marek Napiórkowski Sextet” consists of:

Marek Napiórkowski – electric and acoustic guitars,

Krzysztof Herdzin – piano,

Adam Pierończyk – tenor and soprano saxophone,

Henryk Miśkiewicz – bass clarinet, alto saxophone,

Robert Kubiszyn – double bass, bass guitar,

Paweł Dobrowolski – drum kit and percussion instruments.

 

The concert will take place on 15th November at 19.30 in the University of Warsaw Library (Dobra Street 56/66)
