The UW co-organizes international conference entitled “Preventive conservation of human environment 6. Architecture as part of the landscape”. Deadline for sending paper proposals is till 31st May.

 

The conference will be devoted to the role of the architecture in creation, enhancement and preservation of cultural landscapes. It is organized by the Institute of Art History of the University of Warsaw together with the Institute of Archaelogy of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University.

 

Dr Mechtild Rössler – Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and Dr Stefano De Caro – Director-General of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) will deliver the keynote speeches.

 

Proposals for papers and abstracts (maximum 350 words) ought to be submitted by 31st May. Early career scholars and postgraduate researchers are especially welcome to participate and send application form to pche6conference@gmail.com.

 

The conference will take place from 24th to 25th October on the campuses of the two Warsaw universities.
