On 29th June the Senate of the University of Warsaw adopted 2015 annual “Rector’s report”.

The document presents the most important academic events. It contains offers of study, scientific development, the university’s budget, social activities, the scientific cooperation with institutions as well as statistical data concerning students, employees and research. In the introduction to the document one can find the overview of rector’s term in 2012-2016.

 

– On 1st October during the inauguration of the academic year 2015/2016, we officially began the celebration of 200th anniversary of the UW. Our University develops, it is proud of own achievements, its financial condition is stable, it has excellent perspectives and it is ready for ambitious activities in the forthcoming years – wrote Prof. Marcin Pałys, the UW Rector in the introduction.

 

The summary of the year 2015 proves that the University of Warsaw is not only the biggest Polish university, but also the best, in many fields. UW employees carry out almost 1,5 thousand research projects financed by international and national research programmes. The University cooperates with 800 foreign entities. It is also the most popular institution of higher education for foreigners – 4,1 thousand students from abroad have been studying at the UW in 2015.
