Quacquarelli Symonds published the results of the university ranking focused on the issue of sustainability. The University of Warsaw was ranked first among Polish universities.

Nearly 1,400 universities were evaluated in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024. The University of Warsaw holds the first place in Poland and 222nd in the world. The list was published for the third time.

The ranking assessed universities’ responses to social and environmental challenges, as well as their ESG activities, i.e. sustainability principles in the following categories: environment, society and corporate governance. One of the criteria was the universities’ academic achievements related to the UN’s sustainable development goals.

The QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024 is a single overall ranking, comprising the results of the assessment in three analysed areas: social impact, environmental impact and governance.

The results were announced on 5th December. The full ranking list is available on the QS website.
