„Relational turn in sociology: implications for the study of society, culture and persons” is the title of the international seminar. It will begin on 19th September and will last till 20th September.

 

The aim of the seminar is to discuss the potential of contemporary relational theorizing of society, culture and persons. The seminar consists of four sessions:

  • relational sociology as the new paradigm in the social sciences,
  • relational sociology and social morphogenesis,
  • relational sociology and social networks,
  • relational sociology and reflexivility.

 

Not only Polish scholars will participate in the seminar, but also from abroad e.g. from Italy, Great Britain or Germany. The conference will be attended by Margaret S. Archer and Pierpaolo Donati, who have created a new relational paradigm in sociology.

 

Participants do not need to register in advance. The conference will be held in English.

 

The international seminar is organized by the Institute of Sociology of the University of Warsaw.

 

The event will take place on 19th-20th September at the University of Warsaw Library (Dobra 56/66, room 256).
