Researchers from the 4EU+ Alliance, representing three partner universities—the University of Warsaw, Heidelberg University, and the University of Milan—will deliver a lecture on the collaborative city. The researchers will discuss how co-creation, innovative legal frameworks, and digital solutions can help address complex urban challenges.

“The Collaborative City: Co-Creation, Legal Frameworks, and Smart City Solutions” is a meeting bringing together researchers involved in the 4EU+ Alliance’s first flagship programme, “Urban Health and Demographic Change.”

Drawing on insights from urban research, administrative law, and smart city development, this session examines how co-creation, innovative legal frameworks, and digital solutions can help address complex urban challenges. Discover how knowledge, people, and technology can work together to transform cities while considering issues of inclusion, responsibility, trust, and social and environmental value.

The following experts will speak during the online lecture:

  • Dr. Grzegorz Kula from the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw will deliver a presentation entitled “Costs and benefits of introducing smart city solutions”;
  • Prof. Sara Valaguzza from the University of Milan will give a speech entitled “From Rivalry to Collaborative Dialogue: Legal Research for Urban Transformation”;
  • Dr. Editha Marquardt from Heidelberg University will give a presentation entitled “Shaping the City Together: Universities and Cities Co-Creating the Urban Future”.

The event is organised as part of the 1CORE project (Work Package 7) and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
