On 9th July, the opening of the International Collage Art Exhibition took place at the Dobra Gallery in the University of Warsaw Library (BUW). The exhibition features works by 74 artists from 24 countries and runs until 23rd August.
The International Collage Art Exhibition is one of the most important events in this field of art. The exhibition at the Dobra Gallery presents works by artists from around the world, selected in such a way as to introduce visitors to the most interesting trends and directions in the development of contemporary collage.
The exhibition is curated by Dr Anna Kłos – an artist, curator and researcher who combines creative practice with theoretical reflection and academic teaching.
The exhibition’s opening took place on 9th July. The event was attended by Prof. Zygmunt Lalak, the UW Vice-Rector for Research; Agnieszka Kościelniak-Osiak, the Deputy Director of BUW; Dr Anna Kłos, the exhibition’s curator; representatives of the diplomatic corps of Peru, Guatemala and Argentina; as well as some of the artists whose collages are on display.The opening also featured the launch of the book Modern Collage – a comprehensive study devoted to contemporary collage art. The exhibition runs until 23rd August.
