On 17th May, the University of Warsaw hosted its annual Cultural Hot Spot festival. The event was a chance for the University community to learn about culture and traditions of the countries that UW international students come from.
The Cultural Hot Spot festival aims at familiarising the UW community with some of the traditions of the international students of the University of Warsaw. Most of them come from Ukraine, Belarus, China, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan. The programme of the festival included a range of activities from cultural performances to engaging calligraphy workshops. The attendees had the chance to experience firsthand the customs and traditions of different nations.
The fourth edition of the event was held on 17th May from 11 am to 5 pm on the UW Campus at Krakowskie Przedmieście.
The organisers of the Cultural Hot Spot festival were the International Cooperation Commission of The UW Students’ Union’s Board, Welcome Point, The Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw, and The Students’ Union of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
