From 25 to 27 March four buildings being constructed under the multiannual plan “Uniwersytet Warszawski 2016-2027” were open to visitors. The projects include the Former Rector’s Building, a students’ hall of residence in Służew, a new seat of the Faculty of Psychology, and the construction on the upper courtyard of the Main Campus. The meetings were attended by representatives of the UW community.

The multiannual plan “Uniwersytet Warszawski 2016-2027” is a comprehensive programme for the University of Warsaw, which aims at facilitating the development of the humanities and social sciences, reinforcing the international position of the University and increasing the UW impact on the social and economic environment. Within the period of 2016-2027 the University of Warsaw carries out 16 investments on the three campuses – new buildings or redecoration of the old ones on the Krakowskie Przedmieście campus, on the campuses in the districts of Ochota and Służewiec. Thus, better conditions for working and studying are being created under the Plan.

In the upcoming months four building investments will have been completed: the reconstructed Former Rector’s Building with the exhibition of Friderick Chopin life and works, the construction of a new students’ hall of residence on the Służew Campus, a new building for the Faculty of Psychology in Ochota district, and a new building on the upper courtyard of the UW campus at Krakowskie Przedmieście that will allocate University international offices.

In 25, 26 and 27 March, students, doctoral candidates, academics and staff of the UW could enter the sites where new building projects are carried out, and discuss the possibilities and opportunities they can offer. The sites could only be visited in limited groups.
