Scholars from the University of Warsaw and the Indiana University Bloomington performing educational research can submit their proposals and present their topics during the Annual Joint Seminar on Educational Research. Deadline for applications: 31st January.

 

The seminar will serve as a forum for dissemination of current research outcomes and discussion of future collaborative research initiatives. The first event will be hosted by the University of Warsaw on 9th and 10th May. It will include a keynote lecture (TBD), and 16 presentations (eight from each university). All speakers will be given 20 minutes to present.

 

The proposed thematic areas of the seminar include:

  • Methods and Approaches for Assessing Educational Outcomes,
  • Teacher Preparation and Development,
  • Quality and High Impact Teaching Methods,
  • Institutional Organization at the School, District, and Country Level,
  • Advances in STEM Education,
  • Education for Democratic Citizenship.

 

The seminar will be held in English. It is organised by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and University of Warsaw School of Education, University of Warsaw Center for Innovation and Research in Education (CIBE), and Indiana University School of Education.

 

To apply, please submit a research paper or structured abstract (up to 300 words) to Justyna Kościńska (j.koscinska(at)is.uw.edu.pl) by 31st January. The proposal should include the name(s) and faculty affiliation(s) of the author(s).

 

A review committee will be appointed to select papers to be presented at the conference. The speakers will be notified by 28th February.
