The signing of an agreement between the University of Warsaw and the Chamber of Physicians and Dentists took place on 18th March. The agreement includes the organisation and delivery of postgraduate training for doctors and the promotion of the idea of lifelong learning.

On behalf of the University of Warsaw, the agreement was signed by Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the UW Rector. The Chamber of Physicians and Dentists (PL: Naczelna Izba Lekarska, NIL) was represented by, among others, its president, Łukasz Jankowski.

The agreement will enable, for instance, the organisation of educational events, including postgraduate training for doctors, and the implementation of joint research and expert activities.

As part of the cooperation, UW lecturers will conduct classes, as well as develop training programmes and syllabuses for medical education.

The UW and NIL will also cooperate in conducting analyses, expert opinions and scientific research and development work.

The Chamber of Physicians and Dentists is a unit of the professional self-government of doctors and dentists. Its tasks include taking a stance on the state of society’s health, the state’s health policy and the organisation of health care, as well as conducting research on health care and the medical profession.
