168 researchers from the University of Warsaw were honoured with the Rector’s Distinctions. The award ceremony took place on 2nd April at the Kazimierzowski Palace.

“The University of Warsaw educates the most talented young people in Poland. And the best academics are responsible for teaching our students. Without you, the University would not achieve such good results. I am proud to be able to award our best researchers today,” Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the UW Rector, said.

The Rector’s Distinctions award ceremony was held on 2nd April at the Kazimierzowski Palace.

The Rector’s Distinctions are awards given for outstanding scientific activity, including scientific research and development works, which in a special way contribute to the development and growth of the prestige of the University.

Candidates for the Distinction are proposed through a competition by deans of faculties and heads of organisational units at the University. The lists of candidates are then analysed by a university-wide committee.
