The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange announced the results of the 6th edition of the Polish language scholarship programme “Polonista”. This year, two UW researchers will conduct their research abroad and seven international students will come to the University of Warsaw.

The main aim of the “Polonista” programme is to promote Polish language studies and research in the world. During this year’s edition, forty-one people have received scholarships, including fourteen researchers and seven students.

 

The awarded researchers represent such countries as Brazil, Canada, Ukraine, the USA, and Poland. Among them there are two scholars from the UW Faculty of Polish Studies: Prof. Jagoda Wierzejska and Dr Justyna Zych, who will carry out their projects at the University of Vienna and the Université libre de Bruxelles.

 

As part of the programme, the University of Warsaw will also be visited by seven international students: two from China, two from Ukraine, and one from Türkiye. They will all study at the Faculty of Polish Studies, pursuing their BA and MA programmes.
