90 Polish athletes began the Rio 2016 Summer Paralympics. Among them is a student of the Faculty of Management – Wojciech Makowski, who will represent Poland in swimming.
Wojciech Makowski studies Management, second cycle programme at the University of Warsaw. Besides studies, he develops his career in sport. Disability is not an obstacle to him. He was born blind.
In the 2014 European Swimming Championships in Eindhoven he was ranked third in 100m freestyle. One year later, he won a bronze medal in 100m backstroke in Glasgow 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships. In the 2016 IPC Swimming European Open Championships he was the best in 100m backstroke and he won bronze medal in 100m freestyle.
In the 15th Summer Paralympics Games in Rio de Janeiro he will be competing three Times: in 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke.
