On 1st August, the academic community of the University of Warsaw will commemorate the 79th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. The gathering will take place at 12 pm on the University campus at Krakowskie Przedmieście nearby the main gate.

Every year, on 1st August, the University of Warsaw and the Association of Soldiers of the “Krybar” Combat Group in the World Association of Home Army Soldiers (Środowisko Grupy Bojowej „Krybar” Światowego Związku Żołnierzy Armii Krajowej) organise a commemorative meeting. During the gathering, flowers are placed under the plaque devoted to the heroes of the Warsaw Uprising.

This year, the meeting will be held at 12 pm on the main campus of the University of Warsaw at 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście. It will be attended, among others, by Prof. Jerzy Gaździcki (alias “Gołąb”), the president of the Association of Soldiers of the “Krybar” Combat Group in the World Association of Home Army Soldiers, and the authorities of the University. The University of Warsaw Choir will perform songs from the Warsaw Uprising.
