UW academic teachers can once again submit proposals for courses, in an online or hybrid mode, to the 4EU+ shared courses initiative. The courses will begin in the summer semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. They will be made available to students and doctoral candidates from 4EU+ Alliance member universities. The call is open until 2oth January.
UW academic teachers can once again submit courses that are fully delivered (including assessment) in an online or hybrid mode to be made available to students and doctoral candidates from 4EU+ Alliance member universities. The courses will be made available as part of the 4EU+ shared courses initiative, an important element of the 4EU+ education collaboration launched in the 2020/2021 academic year. To date, UW faculties have made more than 310 shared courses available to participants from other 4EU+ universities, with more than 390 students enrolled. Providing online courses to the 4EU+ community on a regular basis has proven to be an excellent example of virtual mobility and an opportunity to increase the level of internationalisation, improve the digital literacy of students and teachers, and present the educational offer of the University of Warsaw to our European partners within this strategic consortium.
Proposals for shared courses must be submitted by 20th January using the table provided in the Google Sheet.
Important information:
- Courses must be conducted in an online or hybrid mode in order to allow students from other 4EU+ member universities to participate in and complete the course (incl. taking the final assessment) on a fully remote basis;
- Only courses from the current offer for the UW students will be accepted, meaning they shall be open for enrolment in the winter semester for UW students either way; Proposals for opening new courses initiated and co-developed in the framework of 4EU+ cooperation will not be accepted;
- Courses should be taught using innovative methods and techniques (examples of good practices and recommendations can be found here and here;
- Courses should support the development of competences recognised by the 4EU+ Alliance as key in European education: multilingualism, digital literacy, societal engagement, critical thinking and entrepreneurship;
- Courses taught in all languages can be accepted. Classes taught in languages other than English or the official languages of the 4EU+ Alliance universities can also be submitted. Language courses (PL: lektoraty) cannot be provided as part of the initiative unless the unit offering the course agrees to accept 4EU+ university students free of charge.
