The Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, met with the rectorial team of Beijing Union University. The discussions focused on the prospects for establishing and developing institutional cooperation.

During his visit to China, on 11th December, the UW Rector held talks with the rectorial authorities of Beijing Union University. The BUU delegation was led by Prof. Lei Xingshan, President of the University.

Together with the President of Beijing Union University, we discussed opportunities for cooperation in the areas of academic exchange, the implementation of joint research projects, the development of inter-university educational programmes, and the further expansion of academic mobility,” emphasised Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw.

The talks focused on the prospects for establishing and developing cooperation between the universities. The Chinese side is interested in cooperating with the University of Warsaw in areas such as archaeology and pedagogy, identifying these fields as particularly promising for knowledge exchange and joint research initiatives.

 

The parties agreed that the details of the proposed cooperation would be further discussed by representatives of the interested units, who will continue consultations and negotiations.

Beijing Union University (BUU) is one of the largest and most internationalised universities in Beijing. It educates over 22,000 students in disciplines including economics, management, arts, law, engineering, education, history and medicine.
