Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, took part in the 75th anniversary celebrations of Tamkang University in Taipei, one of the oldest and most recognisable universities in Taiwan.
From 7 to 9 November, ceremonies marking the 75th anniversary of Tamkang University were held in Taipei, Taiwan. Nearly 40 rectors and presidents of universities from around the world, with whom Tamkang University has maintained long-standing research and academic exchange partnerships, participated in the event. The University of Warsaw was represented by rector, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak.
The University of Warsaw has maintained a high position among the Taiwanese university’s international partners for years. UW researchers are highly esteemed for their scientific achievements, and UW students are valued for their academic competence and active involvement in intercultural cooperation.
The UW Rector, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, was invited as one of four keynote speakers and delivered the opening lecture for one of the panels. The conference sessions focused on topics including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, international cooperation, and applications of life sciences in medicine.
The event provided an opportunity to summarise the long-standing relationship between the University of Warsaw and Tamkang University and to discuss the further development of joint research and teaching projects.
