Welcome Point UW, the Center for Polish Language and Culture „Polonicum”, and the Impro School invite all University of Warsaw employees to take part in theatre improvisation workshops. Participation is free of charge.
This is the fourth edition of the workshops. Their main goal is to develop self-expression skills and spark creativity while working in a team. This year’s edition, titled Open to Improv, will take place from 18th November to 16th December.
Participants will also to strengthen their active listening skills, practice their English, and network with other University of Warsaw employees.
All sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Participants may join either individual sessions or attend the entire course.
The group includes both academic and administrative staff, with a target participation of at least 40% international and 40% Polish.
The event is organised by Welcome Point UW, the Center for Polish Language and Culture „Polonicum”, and the Impro School – an institution specializing in theater improvisation. The courses are led by experienced performers from the Warsaw theater scene, who have gained experience at iO Theatre Chicago, Second City Chicago, and the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York, among others.
Participation in the course is free, but prior registration is required.

The workshops are implemented under Action II.2.3. “Support of the relocation process of employees from abroad by introducing solutions facilitating involvement of new foreign employees to work at UW and preparation to stay in Poland” of the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) at the University of Warsaw.
