There is a possibility to learn the Polish language while analyzing texts, doing phonetic exercises, having a walk around Warsaw and dancing the polonaise. These opportunities are prepared for the participants of the Summer School.

Every year the Polonicum UW organizes the Polish language and culture course dedicated to foreigners. The forthcoming course will take place from 31 July to 29 August.

In the course there are usually around 220 participants from all over the world. The classes are held every weekday. Students can learn the Polish language in groups (8-14 people) on all levels of proficiency: from beginner to advanced. For each level an individual teaching program is prepared, and listeners have two teachers.

Not only lectures, seminars and workshops are available in the program, but also film presentations, board games, Warsaw city games and classes, which teach how to prepare traditional dishes. At the end of the course, the participants will present the Polish national dance – the polonaise.

The course ends  with a final test. Students will obtain a certificate of participation following the test.
