Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, has been appointed to the Scientific Council of the Military Medical Institute – National Research Institute. The ceremony of presenting the appointments by the Minister of National Defence took place on 13th August.
Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, and Cezary Tomczyk, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, presented the appointments to the Scientific Councils of three key military health service institutes: the Military Medical Institute – National Research Institute, the Military Institute of Aviation Medicine, and the Military Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
As emphasised in the Ministry’s announcement, this was an event of symbolic and strategic importance. The Scientific Council is a decision-making, advisory and initiating body in the field of scientific and research and development activities of each institute. Its members influence the directions of research, development and implementation relevant to the medical security of the armed forces.
Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, has been appointed to the Scientific Council of the Military Medical Institute – National Research Institute for the 8th term, which will operate from 16th August 2025 to 15th August 2029. The Rector sits on the Council pro publico bono.
