On 5th December, the University of Warsaw hosted representatives of the National Taiwan Normal University. The meeting was dedicated to strengthening cooperation between the institutions, with particular emphasis on academic exchange, joint research projects and new educational initiatives.

The meeting took place in the Senate Hall of the Kazimierzowski Palace and focused on opportunities for developing shared academic activities, including student mobility and collaborative research.

The Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, highlighted the importance of cooperation with the Taiwanese university: “At the University of Warsaw, we are developing strong research teams in fields such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, political sciences and Asian studies. We are pleased to deepen our relations with National Taiwan Normal University. Taiwan plays a significant role in today’s world, particularly in the areas of new technologies and innovation. I believe that new forms of partnership – including academic exchange and joint research – will contribute to a better understanding between our countries and to strengthening cooperation between Poland and Taiwan.”

During the visit, NTNU presented its academic profile, including research strengths in computer science, the natural sciences, semiconductor studies and Mandarin language education, as well as its broad international mobility offer. The discussion also covered potential joint research areas and future actions to advance bilateral collaboration.
