On 8th January, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the Rector of the University of Warsaw, hosted a Mongolian delegation. The discussions concerned the establishment of cooperation with the Mongolian National University of Education, especially in the field of academic exchange.
On 8th January, the University of Warsaw hosted a delegation from the Mongolian National University of Education, consisting of the university’s president Prof. Jamiyansuren Batbaatar, the dean of the School of Fine Arts and Technology Dr S. Battsooj, Dr G. Odpurev from the Faculty of Design and Drawing, Dorj Barkhas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mongolia to Poland, and Tenger Jargalsaikhan, Attaché of the Mongolian Embassy. On the part of the UW, the meeting was attended by the UW Rector, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, as well as Dr Jan Rogala from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, and Dr Ewelina Zubala, a mobility coordinator of the Faculty of Education.
The main topic of the discussion was the establishment of cooperation in academic exchange between the Mongolian university and the University of Warsaw.
“Cooperation with the Mongolian National University of Education and other universities in Mongolia can be carried out in a wide range of areas, including international studies and research at the Faculty of Education as well as Mongolian studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies,” Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the Rector of the University of Warsaw, said.
The UW Rector also emphasised the interest in the Far Eastern culture among Polish students: “The most important thing is passion and shared interests. I encourage students to follow their interests and watch the development of Asian countries.”
“We are ready to cooperate with the University of Warsaw in the exchange of students and academics in many fields of study with a special focus on Mongolian studies and archaeology,” Prof. Jamiyansuren Batbaatar, the President of the Mongolian university, emphasised.
